floating dots everywhere

I have small white dots floating everywhere?it looks like dust particles. I lost all my fish but the inverts are still alive.I'm not sure if the mag-float had anything to do with this because it looks like the float got eaten away alitte bit. I have some bigger dots stuck to the overflows and it looks like small gray paint chips, and they are hard. in any case the uv isn't helping and the water has tons of dots floating around it. is it ich?does ich float free in the water? I have no idea what to do???could it be from the dead coral in the tank is getting eaten away??I'm out of idea's!!

Its not ich and its not a fish disease either. Why does the mag float look "eaten away"? Hopefully, you've removed it. Is the mess mostly floating at the surface of the water?
Hard "dots" attached to glass/equiptment is likely just part of the tank ecosystem and nothing to worry about.

yes I removed it right away!! if i compare the float that was in the water and the one that was out ,it looks like the glue squeezed out from the seem.and is hard. someone told me to do alot of water changes and use carbon?so what do you think is the problem??

Do you have something in your tank that could have bitten the mag? Like a pufferfish or something?
