How safe are the Florida Condi Anemone. My LFS said that they would eat fish and kill (sting) corals. SWF list them as reef safe?

There is no anemone that should be considered reef safe. The potetncy of their sting is different from species to species much like corals. The difference is that anemones have the capability to move. This makes them a threat in any reef tank, although many people roll the dice and have them, none should be considered "safe"

the whole thing about eating your fish is not true as long as you keep them well fed. I have 2 of them and 2 cinnaman clowns that have hosted to them. I feed mine mysis shrimp and silver sides 2 times a week and coralife invert liquid food 1-2 times a week. I have never had a problem with them. But maybe somebody has, so far they have been good and I have had them for a few months now. just my opinion, someone might dis-agree with me.

My personal experience with a condi anenome is that while they can, and will move, they will eventually find a place they like and settle down there. As with any anenome and with corals, especially ones that send out long sweeper tentacles, you should keep a safe distance between corals/anenomes, checking them for reach when they send out their sweeper tentacles which can double the reach of a torch or hammer coral.

All of the above mentioned is under the assumption you have the correct lighting, environment and water quality to keep them happy.
Even a well fed anemone can take advantage of a meal should it happen by. Although keeping them fed IMO will reduce the risk of predation. Condy anemones are not natural hosts to any anemone fish. So, if one should want to host or check it out the risk of becoming a meal is definitely a possibility.
