Florida live rock

I woke up this morning and found the clams or muscles that come on this rock sometimes on the sand bed.My question is should i be concerned?It was right beside another one.It was open a little so i think it is still alive.Any help would be appreciated.

Well my friend, if the shelled member is a bivalve you are fairly safe. I know of no predatory bivalves. They are a defensive creature by design. If a a whelk or cone shaped shell, then you may have issues.
Can you provide a photo or a photo reference? Do google cross check and post an image link.
