flounder questions

may get a flounder. would be putting in a bb tank (has algae thou). my first question is does a flounder eat hermits- shell and all or do they try and suck them out?
next question is would one get attacked by a trigger , wrasse, lionfish? if they were the same size? thanks

I wouldn't put a flatfish in a BB setup...that's just asking for a stressed fish. Secondly, non-planktonic-feeding triggers will pick at the flounder's eyes, and some wrasses may also pick at it. The lionfish won't bother the flounder, altho the flounder MIGHT nip at the lionfish's fins.
As far as I know, flounders don't have the dentition to crush snail shells, but I could be mistaken since I'm not a "flounder weenie"...scorps I know about fairly well, but not flounders.
