Flounder

My LFS has flounders and they are very cool fish. I would like to purchase one if they are compatible with my tank. Has anyone ever tried to keep a flounder? Are they difficult to keep in a home aquarium? Are they prone to diseases? What do they eat? Compatibility?

'hardness to keep' is not the issue. The problem with Flounder is that you will have to have a dedicated tank because they will eat everything else that swims by

On the good side, you wouldn't have to go far to get dinner

Tank is currently 55 gallons. I see that some flounders get rather large but I thought I crossed one that only grew to about 6 inches. Anyway it sounds like a flounder might be better on T316's plate than in the DT.

There's allways 2 fillets on a fish....I call dibs on the other half T316.

There are four fillets on a flounder, two on top two on the bottom. I think you need a bigger tank for them but if you fatten them up I can help you fillet it, I've done about 300 in my time.
