Flow direction?

I have a 14g BioCube with 15 lbs of LR and 18 lbs of LS...where should I be pointing the powerhead to direct water flow?
I have messed around with pointing it up to stir up the CO2 and O2. I have pointed it down to enhance flow for my GSP near the bottom. I have also tried diagonol. I see pro's and cons for each direction, I would like to hear some other experiences.
I ask this for 2 reasons...one is that my 2 percs seem to hang out in the corner opposite of the power head. Do they do this because there is less turbulence over there.
Is it possible for the stock powerhead on the BioCube be too strong. I doubt the answer is yes...what would the powerhead be considered, low or medium flow?
As always, thanks in advance for your two cents,
Chris

Hey Chris,
I replaced the stock pump in my 14g with a MJ-1200. Doesn't seem to be too much flow. I have the nozzle pointed almost straight out with a slight tilt to the right side (from front) and vertical. I also have a fluval filter on the far side which also shoots out water. I have this nozzle pointed back at the left side (looking at it) of the tank.
That was confusing...I'll try and get a pic later on
