Flow / PH's in a BioCube

I have a BioCube 14G and a few months ago I upgraded the stock pump to a Rio 600. I think I still need more flow though as I still get some diatoms / algae on the sand in dead spots.
Can I get some ideas of where to place a second pump? I would prefer to keep it out of the DT, so is it possible to have 2 pumps in the left chamber?
As always, thanks for your help in advance,
Chris

I swaped out the stock pump and put in a maxi-jet 1200. That helped alot. I also put a Rio 90 in the tank, it is hidden nicely in the rock work.

how much does a maxjet 1200 go for? and willit fit in the left chamber? i was thinking about ordering the pump for the 29g biocube and using it in the 14g its rated at over 230gph.

I put a mj900 with a hydor flow in the third chamber then used the stock pump in the first chamber connected to a u-tube return. Ill take some pictures tomorrow so you can see how it looks like in the tank. For now, heres a picture of the return.

Lauren a picture would be great, I imagine the u tube just goes over the wall without a mod. There should be enough clearance between the back wall and the hood.
A couple of F/U questions...does the hydor flow come with the MJ900 and does the hydor flow move or make "waves".
Thanks as always for your assistance Lauren.

I have an open top on my bio cube, but it should still be able to have the hood closed. The hydor flow doesn't come with the mj900. It connects in the hole in the wall and then you just replace the stock pump with the mj900. It rotates in circles so theres flow in all different directions instead of just one.

Thanks DM...I am still a little confused on how you are operating a second PH in another chamber When you get a few minutes, if you could post pics that would be great.
Do the PH's compete for enough water to flow through both of them? I mean if you have 1 PH in the 1st chamber (right chamber as you look at DT) does that still allow enough water to flow through the second and third chamber enabling the MJ900 to work?
I'm not doubting you as you are the Queen of Nano's...just a little confused here in Ohio (by way of Foster City / Danville in your neck of the woods), but maybe its the humidity...

Sorry for the late response. No, the pumps dont compete for water. Just put enough water in the tank so no matter what the pumps will be submerged. I have the water line in the third chamber just below the drip tray in the second chamber.
Oh yea, I took out the hydor flow in my 14g because all of a suden it would not stay on; every time I put it back on a few minutes later it came right off again. So, I still have the mj900 in the third chamber and the old stock pump in the first. I just have them pointing at different areas of the tank.
