I am getting lots of bubbles out of my sump into my display tank...I have an overflow box, and water levels are all perfect...I have cleaned my sponges...Have I missed something? I can't figure out why all of the sudden my overflow can't keep up with my return pump...Any ideas greatly appreciated...

Yes...(sorry wasnt clear there was I)...The water in the sump is low...but the water in the tank is perfect, all the same levels in the overflow as well...I turned off the pump to allow the water to collect in the sump so it would start at the corect level, but the overflow just cant keep up...

Have you had this overflow long? Is it a new addition? If not what type of plumbing setup are you using? :)

This is the same setup I have been using for about a year...Literally nothing has changed...It just seems like I can't get enough water into the sump...
I have a 75 gal tank with overflow (not sure of the size). The hose from the overflow to the sump is 1.5 " in diameter. Unfortunalty, the pump is not labeled, so I do not know what the return rate is...
I was thinking maybe there is algae growing in the hose from the overflow to the sump...Is this possible given the flow of water through it?

That is excactly what I was getting at. If it is the same setup with the same pump, unless you've sucked something into the pump, then the hoses probably have a restriction due to algae or marine organisms (fan worms, feather dusters, ect. I would check every hose and connection to see if they are obstucted. The water level in the tank will stay right as long as the overflows don't fill up. However the sump will be low if the restriction is there, but is not enough to fill the overflows... ;)
