im an idiot. i bought a yellow flower pot coral for 50 bucks. i totally forgot that they always die.
there was a mushroom rock of over 30+ mushrooms for like 45 and i took the flower pot
. im gonna cry, i should have gone with the mushrooms. the flowerpot coral has that disgusting brown jelly disease in a small area. 50 bucks down the toilet!!

Don't feel bad it happens to us all. They look beautiful for a couple of months. My son bought one for me as a present, I didn't have the heart to tell him it was going to die. He has learn to to ask first before buying anything.

i wish i could take it back but the FS i got it from dosent take anything back all sales are final. and my dad dosent let me take anything back even if its going to die, he wants a full refund when they always give half. i hate my life right now

mine didnt even last a week and it got brown jelly disease.

Not to make the situation worse, but "yellow" is not one of the natural colors of goniopora. The coral has been dyed that yellow, which will only shorten the life of this already doomed coral... If you or your Dad wanted to argue on this point, you guys have a very valid concern to bring to the LFS.
Just goes to show, even something as simple as a LPS coral, should be researched before purchase....

yellows not a natural color... o_O i didnt know.
thats makes me feel even worse. its like a highlighter yellow color. ill take a pic tomorrow. ill try and take it to another FS cause the guy that sold it to me is a grouch.

That doesn't look that yellow to me. My green is almost like that and it's fine. We actually cracked the skeleton on accident and it healed.
This is one of those corals that's 50/50 because the one in my 155G is fine, even after a cracked skeleton, but the one in my 14G died in a week.
