Flower pot coral

Recently bought a flower pot coral but I have heard that it is hard to keep.I have 2 175 watt MH for a 75 gallon tank. Currently it is located about 15" from top of tank and gets some circulation from a powerhead.I add Strontium, Iodine and Ca regularly and also squirt "Corallife Invertebrate Smorgasbord" over the polyps(just a few drops in a syringe)about Twice a week. So far it looks fine and very extended. Would this coral need to be nearer to the surface for more flow and light. Thanks

If you go to pg. 2 under Reef Tanks and look for Sunflower Coral, I think you will get some answers you are looking for. I posted this topic, however, sunflower coral was the incorrect name and is a flower pot coral of which I have one. I have the same size tank you do and have 2-175W metal halide plus two 40W fluorescents. I think you will get most of your answers under the sunflower coral posting.
Good luck! Donna
