brooklyn johnny Active Member Feb 27, 2002 #3 I would not use a fluidized bed filter on a reef. They are extremely efficient doing the aerobic part of the nitrogen cycle, but then dump out the nitrates. If you have sufficient live rock leave that. Are you having problems biologically?
