Fluidized Bed

Can a fluidized bed filter replace a bio-wheel? We hate the dual biowheels that we have on our 55 gal. They take up so much room on the back. Can we get a fluidized bed like a Merlin Plus so we can add a phosphate filter?

get a single wheel one instead and use it... Why do you want the FLUIDIZED anyway????

Read that it is great for bio filtering & takes up limited space.....also the advantage of including the phosphate filter seemed attractive.
