Happy Holidays
I have a question about the Fluval 304. I basically use mine as a mechanical filter (with the foam sponges installed, alternately replaced or rinsed in used tank water every 2 weeks) and for water circulation.
Does anyone use any other media in the Fluval compartments? Has anyone hooked up a spray bar?
Also I think I only need to run it a couple of days a week since my 55 gal has 50lbs of LR and a Remora skimmer and the water is pretty clear. I am afraid that if during the interval it is off, some nasties might grow in the dark, warm, stagnant canister. I have two other powerheads for circulation.
