Fluval FX5 for reef?

Can a fluval fx5 be good for a 40 gallon coral tank? For the water flow and filtration. I would put a little bit of carbon, filter pad, water polishing pads and maybe some bio-rocks.

Fluval makes awesome stuff. The only problem with using canisters is that they tend to trap junk which can cause high nitrates. You're going to want to clean it out regularly, but other than that it should work fine.

I have the Fluval FX5 on my 75g. It's only been running for about a month now, but its working fine so far. The FX5 holds exactly 5gal of water, so when I do a water change I just cleaned it out and refilled it. I don't have anything in mine so the junk settles in it and I had to clean it out real good. It only took about 10-15 min to clean it and get it back running.
