fluval help

i have a fluval 304 and i was wondering what i would need to put in my cages. i have the sponges and the round bulbs init but someone told me i should put ammonia remover and bio-something? i need to find out if i should cut the chorcoal out for good or what.

You can mix and match what you want to put in it depending on what you're trying to accomplish.

i would take out the charcoal. it takes things out of your water that you do want.
just IMO but if you have four chambers i would place filter floss in the bottom two then place the porcaline bio-balls in the next up and then use the top for any thing you need. you shouldnt need any amonia or trite filltration.
