Fluval Phosphate Remover

Does this stuff work? It is the only phosphate media available locally. It contains ferric oxide.
I'm ordering a phosphate reactor in the near future, and am looking for media.

i have used it and it works.problem is it comes in filter bags and you have to cut them open and dump the media into the reactor.plus its pricey.better to buy a bulk container online.

I can get it in a 150g container.
As long as it works. It isn't terribly expensive, if I replaced it every two months, it would cost $15 dollars a month.
