Hi. Ive got a 72 gallon tank with a fluval 304 so naturally I want a second filter. Fluval has a new filter called the "Plus". The 4 model is rated up to 55 gallons. Has anyone seen it yet? Im wondering if it would make a good secondary filter for a 72 gallon with a fluval 304 and a prizm skimmer. Thanks!

Not yet. Im still in the cycle, and with a 70 gallon tank, im thinking of adding about 50 lbs of base rock, 20 lbs of live rock and keeping the rest fish only. I only want the live rock to add an anenomae for the pair of clowns (is live rock even necessary for this?) and maybe a blue star.
Why would live rock make a difference in filters?
Thanks for the reply
Chris

You should of went with the Fluval 404; depending on how much money u want to spend you can put another fluval up on the other end, or you can put up a whisper 3-5, that way there is a current on the surface of the water.

Is live rock necessary for what, what are you referring to? By having only live rock it's almost like a fish only tank, Perhaps not other but to me it is. Depending on the fish, some fish thrive off live rocks. You have to check with your local pet store or where ever you are going to get your clowns because you don't have to have an anenomae to own percula clowns, however, to many others, they say you do. This is not true, many percula clowns are tank raised so they have never been physically introduced to an anenomae, the argument here is that some may say it is nature to the clowns to have an anenomae present in the tank to successfully have them. I find that not to be true, I've had a percula and clark clown without an anenomae for quite a while and they are great. But don't get me wrong, each fish is different, I am telling you by experience, I have friends who has anenomae for the fish as well.
