Foam Rock

I been thinking about doing one of those foam rock setups to cover my back wall on my next tank upgrade but I have a few questions to see if It will work out with my tank. Ive seen some people epoxy the foam after it dries. Is that completely nessecary? What's the foam of choice that works out the best? How long does it take for the foam to cure with the LR? Do you have to silicone the foam and rock to the back of the tank or will it stand up on its own? thanks in advance

I personally dont think it is necessary. But as I understand it holds the sand in place. the foam should hold the san in place. Perhaps mix the sand in with a bit of foam then spread. Here is a link of one of the latest projects going on https://www.saltwaterfish.com/vb/show...=335216&page=2
