Foggy tank

I have a 55 gal tank with a 75 wet/dry with a rio 2500 pump. I have a valentini puffer, diamond goby and maroon clown.
My tank seems to get foggy all the time, I did a water change 2 weeks ago and it cleared up but now is foggy again. I checked the water perameters and they are good.
My bta died when I was away this Thanksgiving holiday and my son left it in the tank but I remvoed it as soon as I got home. All my other fish are doing well. Just curious what might be causing this, I personally think my son overfed the fish but not 100% sure.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

Could be that, could be the death of the anemone. Run carbon for a while, that should help to clear it up. Also change out the filter media more often. And of course increased water changes or water change volumes.

A bag of carbon goes into your filter system. Tell us about your filtering and maybe we can help. Never mind I see you have a wet/dry system. Go to the fish store and ask them for some carbon and some filter bags. Rinse the carbon off with tap water to get the dust off then add some to one of the bags. Tie it off and put it in an area of high flow in the wet dry. Change it out once per week or until the water clears up.

It's an aqua pro 75 wet/dry with bio balls and the filter membrane goes above that. I am not trying to insult your intellignce just trying to make sure I am explaining it right.

Not real sure of the working of a wet/dry but is there a compartment that is full of water all the time where the water is flowing through a chamber maybe? This would be the place for it so that it is submerged all the time and the water is moving around and through it.

Is the space under the bio balls always filled with water? How about the compartment where the return pump is?

Yes, I do have such a compartment. I will go tomorrow and pick up some carbon and bags.

I went to my local fish store BioReef in Jacksonville florida and I got some finer filter element and some carbon. Plus I did a water change tonight as well. So we will see.
Thanks for all the help everyone.

Bioreef is a really good store, they were very helpful with information while i was back in Jax. They do alot of commercial tank maintenance, so im sure if you have questions they will try to help you get answers. Good luck, OH is it cloudy white, yellow or green? you could also be having an algae bloom which wouldnt throw off your parameters instantly.

Well so far everything looks good, the water has cleared up substantially and but I am giving it another day and see what happens.
It was a white cloudy.
