I see you have probbly have the same kind of skimmer as me. Ijust got mine & im not sure how it works.My bubbles only go to the bottom of the cup, are they suppose to go to top.Hooked it up to cheep aquaculture air pump with no air floo adjustments. I dont no if this is right.

Are you talking about the little skimmer inside the tank?if so,I dont use this one anymore.I have moved on to a BIGGER and better one.But to answer your Q,You should lower the skimmer into the water till the bubbles do NOT escape into the tank.Not too low or you will be pumping wet foam into the cup...
