? for setting up aggresive tank.

I am going to be setting up a 150 or larger aggresive tank. Some of my questions are:
can i use a cansiter filter for this tank? or a wetdry? which do you think would be better.
Would I NEED live sand for this tank? or could i just put aragonite in?

Yes, you could use a canister filter, or a wet/dry or both. You want LS definitely. But you can use mostly dry aragonite and seed it with a bag of true LS. I personally would go with something else besides the wet/dry or canister. A good sump/fuge would be of great benefit. You need to quickly process ammonia, so a wet dry does well for that, but you also need to quickly export nitrates. I'd build a 75 gal. sump/fuge with a wet/dry area. If it were me. Do a NNR SB in both the DT and the sump. I'd use LR rubble instead of bio balls in the wet/dry section.
