i'm wondering if i should have baffels in my sump or just have the pump,skimmer and heater in it without the baffels, i want to eliminate microbubbles going back to the tank. i'm going to have a 10 gallon sump as well.

If your only goal is to eliminate micro bubbles a filter sock can help with that. The baffles are generally set up to your needs. I'm not sump expert and the only one I worked on was a bit of a failure, but there is no one way to set up your sump.
If you want it to act as a refugium you might want to add baffles to keep your sand from getting sucked into your pump etc, but if you make the baffles too high and you have too much evaporation your pump will run dry and possibly burn up. It is all about meeting your specific needs and in order to do that you need to plan them out.
