I'm going to run VHO lighting on mine and was wondering if 4 bulbs will fit over the tank? I've never messed with VHO before so I'm giving them a shot. Would 3 fit better. I won't need 4 but thought what the heck. Thanks

Either 3 or 4 would fit on a 36 long 29 gallon tank. I think you wouldn't have much space in the back for any filter or skimmer after adding 4 though. If you're running it with ice-cap you'd need a 660 ballast. I only have 2 on mine and run a 430 ice-cap ballast with it.

I have a 29g tall and have 3 24" VHO lights in the canopy...two white and one blue...I think I have the 440...not sure though because I got the canopy and the ballasts all put together since I bought it used from someone...just had to buy new bulbs...I don't even know how many watts it puts out...

I'm not sure about the size of that tank but you can get an Icecap 430 with the 3 bulb option. On my 26 bowfront i have 2 no t-12 and a mh. I could probably fit 4 vho/no if i didn't have the mh.

You can run four if you want to. I am running three on my 29 but, I am wired up for four......just need to get some endcaps and another bulb. It is going to be a very tight fit with four so be careful to make sure that you have room for the skimmer or filter and such. Three looks very good but, I also figured what the heck.

I just got a 4 bulb retro fit it will fit.
