I thought there was a federal mandate. But the fed only requires so many gallons be made with a certain percentage of ethanol. Now each state is different. Some states require all gasoline to contain ethanol. Others do not.

Not Illinois we a corn growing state, my brother in-law heats his house with corn.
Actual he had just enough rain, he only farms 10 acres just to feed the corn burning stove and a few head of steer. Yes he grows his own meat and veggies. He reads the Bible a lot.
