found out the hard way...

I got some sps back in january, and most have been growing like mad.
unfortunately, one got so big that it somehow pushed the frag plug out of the epoxy that i had encapsulated the plug in, and it landed on my hammer over night :(
75% of the thing is pure white :(
darn hammer stung it to death. now i'm going to have to probably frag the tips that are still alive

Ouch! Sorry to hear. Those hammers can be nasty. I think mine has some of the longest sweeper tentacles I have seen and has definitely zapped a few neighboring corals.

Sorry to hear that Ren. But look at it this way you could end up with a lot of frags that can make you some money down the road.

Here is a poor cell pic.
yea, i've got those sometimes heh, but this sps was up about 6" above them.
i'm finding out more and more that the stupid underwater epoxy really doesnt work very well :( it's been easier for me to cram a frag into a nook of a rock and let it encrust onto the rock.

fragged it really nice, glued 3 onto plugs, and put fourth one into a rock in the tank.
this morning, everything was bleached completely :(
