Found Southdown Sand in NJ

ok I found southdown sand and i brought 5 bags of 50lbs each, my question is I have that tan color sand in my tank how the hell do I get it out? do I have to drain the whole tank? input please, then what do I do with the brown sand once I take it out?

That's what I did when I found my SouthDown. It is a lot of work, and I mean a lot, if you mess up. However, I got lucky and seemed to remove it quite easily, then I dumped most of it in my lake, after having gone through it to remove as many large pods and all of the Bristleworms as I could find. Then I simply put the SD in, and all was well.
