For those of you who are interested in algae scrubbers, I thought I would post a four day progression of my scrubber since it's last cleaning just to show ya'll what it can do.
For those of you who don't know what an algae scrubber is: An algae scrubber removes nitrate and phosphate, heavy metals and adds oxygen to an aquarium via a natural means of culturing (hair) algae on a screen. It isn't a be-all end all of filtration like some people claim it to be. Live rock, water changes, and proper husbandry skills can not be set aside when you have an algae scrubber. Protein skimmers have proven to work well when ran along side algae scrubbers.
