I have a FOWLR system (46 bow) and I also have the basic twin 36" bulbs (1 20k and 1 actinic blue) The fish and LR are loving it (cleanup crew too) system looks good, family loves it as well.
My question is,can I have any inverts with this setup?Feather duster,shrooms....?
I don't really have the time for a full blown reef ( twin 4 year olds,2 year old,2 dogs,2 cats,3 horses.....)I just want to add a bit more color and/or life to the tank.Right now it is stocked with a false percula,4 stripe damsel, royal gramma, and a Foxface (2").

I use to run a 40watt 50/50 bulb on my 75gal and i kept mushrooms, kenya tree, and inverts (less than 1 watt per gallon). I now have a 260watt PC and my mushrooms and tree seem to open up better. You should be able to keep these but the better the lighting the better your shrooms will open and look. Your setup would do fine for mushrooms, can't really tell you what else because all i had at that time was mushrooms and a kenya tree.

You can do feather dusters... they don't need any special lighting.
They are a focal point in tanks. Also, they aren't that expensive.

Just add some photoplankton a couple times a week. It comes in liquid form and is a good source of supplements for filter feeders.
Another fun invert is an urchin. I've had a couple pin cushions (there are a few different species). Unless you are trying to GROW plants in your tank, the urchins (which are really great glass and rock cleaners --- hence, plant eaters) will do great. We enjoy watching our tuxedo work it's way thru the rock...

Thank you very much for the info folks!I happened to be at my LFS (well not local, but honest, and very well stocked)today, and saw that he had 3 really neat looking urchins. They were all golf ball sized and had 3" black spikes.Really cool.
