Very nice, thank you for taking the time to post those pictures. Do you plan on keeping it a FOWLR tank?
What type(s) of fish are you keeping in the tanks?
Just curious why you picked a FOWLR tank?

Hi, Im staying with FOWLR for now because I couldnt afford the lighting and have no room for a sump to hold a refuge or skimmer. I would need/want all these things if im going to have corals. Besides a fish only tank is more forgiving as far as water quality. If I miss a water change, its no big deal as long as it doesnt go to long...
I did however add a small xenia frag to my 46, it seems to be doing good, one if the stalks just split a week ago...
Right the 46 has 2 damsels and a yellow tang. the damsels will be moved to the 12 in the next day or so, the 12 only has a clean up crew in it, snails and hermits

I like the way you set up your tanks, instead of mounding tons of rock, you have a simple small blob of rock in the middle, cool looking, not many people do that

dude........ I'll be the first to say...... That tank is WAY too small for that SIZE fish and that NUMBER of fish... And it's only a month old??????? Good God man!!! I see bad things for you in the future, like wasted money........ Sorry, but this is the truth...

NO the pic is a month old, the tank is over 2 years old, i know the queen angel will outgrow the tank, as well as the triggers, but for now its fine

once they outgrow the tank ill probably get a bigger one or bring them back to the LFS, but for now its definitly fine.

i did post this in the original thread, you just didn't read it. And i didnt look for you, i clicked new posts and saw ur good old gorillaz dude pic. Just because theres some algae on it doesn't mean its not healthy. Lionfish have a recommended fish tank size of 50 gallons, all the fish eat great, swim great, etc.. Theres nothing wrong with my tank and i cleaned all that algae off.

and to boot the pic is blurry and taken with a crappy camera. so jeez dude no need to tell me i've done everything wrong just because your oppinonated, if you saw my tank in real life you'd think diferently (this is all aimed to fishkiller) so the rest of you know.

because in another thread of his i posted, and he was like "ok.... Nice job jumping threads and hijacking this one. I would have checked your rebuttle to my comment when the time came. Regardless, that lion and that angel have no business being in a tank that small. But hey, it works for you....... That's why your tank looks soooo healthy. If you are going to respond, do not do it here. Respond to this in the original thread of your's. Can you handle that? "

F1shman your tank is really neat looking. I really like the look of both a reef and a FOWLR. Your tank with just the rock and fish is so great looking I think there is hope for my tank yet. I to have my rock placed in the center so there is room around it for my new buddy Chippy my chocolate chip star. Great work F1shman keep it up......
dhughesz28 I know what you mean about cost. I to would have to upgrade my lights, I currently have a few mushrooms but nothing special and a large feather duster too. The cost here is enormous for corals, fish, rock etc. I quite like the look of the FOWLR myself as the fish really stand out and yes you can get away with a few oopsies here and there too.
Thanks to both of you for the pictures, I will have to post one of mine soon.
:cheer:

Hey one thing I have learned on all the forums I belong to is to take things like a grain of salt. I do not get upset when others comment on what I have, what I should do, what I am doing is wrong etc. It just is not worth it to get upset over. But one thing I can tell you is that no matter what you post there will always be a person(s) or two that will shoot it down. Nothing and nobody is perfect......
If you are happy with your setup, fish are doing fine then enjoy what you have. I think your tank is great looking. We also learn by trial and error believe me I know this better than anyone.
Good luck to you and do post more pics of your tank. Have a nice day....
