I'm sorry, you guys are right. My 9 years of experience with marine systems does not amount up to crap. As long as the fish are alive, I guess you are doing just fine. LOL I just feel sorry for your fish, that's all. And to not take my feedback as constructive is your own fault. It was your choice to take offense to it. I offer my input when I see people doing things the wrong way. Have fun learning, it will obviously be a long journey for you.

Nah, my fish are fine, constructive criticism is fine, but yours was not constructive. I know a ton already about fish and when they grow out, I'll bring them back to the LFS. For now all the water paramaters are fine, everything is stable, all the fish are eating, they move around all the time and show no sign of distress. But thanks anyways dude, just next time, don't be mean when you criticize and make sure you have your facts straight. you said "THE TANK IS ONLY 1 MONTH OLD?" when i specfically said before "this picture is 1 month old" tank is 2 years +. I listened to what you had to say and I think my setup is fine for now.

If you are happy with your setup, fish are doing fine then enjoy what you have. I think your tank is great looking. We also learn by trial and error believe me I know this better than anyone.

Hey one thing I have learned on all the forums I belong to is to take things like a grain of salt. I do not get upset when others comment on what I have, what I should do, what I am doing is wrong etc. It just is not worth it to get upset over. But one thing I can tell you is that no matter what you post there will always be a person(s) or two that will shoot it down. Nothing and nobody is perfect...... :happy:

hmmm. I see a pattern here. Exactly how long have all you people been keeping marine fish? I'm speaking to the people backing up this kid with your great advice. I see nothing but a bunch of newbies..... Cute little newbies...... Why don't you ask the advice of somebody worthy, like bangguy. Ask him what he thinks about your little setup.

Oh wait.... Did you just say that you might move your tang to a new tank? Why's he being picked on? You think MAYBE b/c the tank is too f***ing small for all those guys??? God, I hate being right all the time. Next time, just agree with me instead of going through the trouble of debating this matter with me and then coming out proving my point for me. That tang should be getting along with those fish just fine, but the fact that there is minimal room provided due to a gross display a ignorance makes the rules of compatability with these fish obsolete. Your not doing a great job providing the best environment for your buddies.... You need :needhelp:

I'm done with you kid..... You will learn the hard way. Your fish may live, but if that's all your looking for, then great! Have fun providing the minimal and somewhat satisfactory living conditions for your fish. And your little shhhh comment, save it kid. fishkiller, I would like to let you know that I have kept and bred many types of "freshwater" fish for over 20 years. But yes I will admit to being NEW to the "marine" hobby.
I am not the type of person to criticize someone elses setups, I would rather offer them some info that could help them instead. The wording of replies really means alot to others. Maybe fishkiller, you could offer some advice on your experiences you have had with to many fish in a tank instead of calling this person names. I have done this with a "freshwater" forum and beleive me there are so many that really appreciate what you have to say, I recieve many thanks for doing so.
One thing I have honestly found with this particular forum and I really hate to say this is that so many of the folks here are very quick to jump on the person posting the questions, pictures etc and down right degrade them. I think this forum has a wealth of great valuable info and we all need to just choose our reply wording much better to help these folks out.
No one is perfect, no one is a "marine master", no one has the perfect tank. We are all still learning as we go and will continue to learn the rest of our lives. In order for new hobbyists like myself to learn, yes we have to make mistakes, I know I sure have made some of my own. I have learned from those mistakes but by no means think that I know everything there is to fishkeeping.
So lets try and offer some good advice and help each other out in this hobby.
