Piper01 How much lighting would I need for a 90G FOWLR tank. If I need allot would compact Flourescent or Metal Halide be better?
You don't need a lot of light for any FOWLR tank. The more watts the light is the easier it will be to grow unwanted colors and aptasia in your tank. I would most definately go with the pc maybe a 300w setup. I have a 55g with the floresc. that came with the tank and in my opinion and all others that has seen it, it looks great! M.H. in my opinion will only make green algae grow everywhere, not very pretty. gl

You do not want halides because they will unneccessarily heat the tank and cost A LOT more.
I would just go with PCs. Anything from 200-300 watts would be fine for your tank.
