I have had a fox coral in my 29 gallon tank for 3 months with 2 65 watt compact fluorescent and 2 fluorescents. My fox coral is doing great, and has seemed to get even more puffy since its been in my tank.

Fairly easy coral to keep especially for an LPS. I keep mine a quarter down the bottom of my 35g hex with only 110w PC and under moderate current. It's growing and doing great.

Feel free to stick it in your tank as Fox corals are able to live for quite a while under pathetic lighting...when nipped at by puffers. Btw - a 38g is too small for a tang...like you care?
I guess you're "getting PC's in July"...but DO NOT buy any more corals until you have the knowledge AND the lighting to support them.
Bottom line, YES I am flaming you, but you can slow down & actually research the requirements of the things you ALREADY have. That really isn't asking THAT much of you.

Reef girl.....easy now....we try to avoid the flame ... just doesn't seem to be productive to torch for the sake of torching!!
As for keeping the fox....the information I have indicates moderate light and a lower current. Somewhat of a hardy coral and not extremely aggressive. Based on your current system...I would suggest additional lighting...and if you add one I would watch close for irratation from current system creatures.
