Just got a new fox face fish (from this site) yesterday. Acclimated him according to procedure - but all he does is hide in the back of the tank. Is this normal?

Agree, very timid at first, but will soon become the favorite fish in your tank. Very hardy and great personality.
BTW, where are you at in MI?

I have a Magnificent Foxface currently in my QT. He was very shy for about 9 or 10 days and was changing color every time I got close, when the lights went off and basically for any reason. Now, about 2-1/2 weeks into QT he is doing great. He rarely even tries to hide, eating like a pig and never changes color. Good luck with yours they seem to be great fish.

I got mine a week ago from here and while he was almost dead out of the bag he is doing fine now. He was very shy and would lay on his side in a corner.
He is eating good and even took care of some bubble algae in the QT !!
