Fox Face owners!!

I have this fish for about over a month now. It is in a 55 gallon tank with a pair of perc clowns. I am getting ready to add another fish to my Q tank, but I am considering not to. Mostly because I don't like the colors of the foxface. He looks bi color at all times. Yellow on the bottom and black on top. I see pics of this fish from other people on this board and on the web and the Fox face's body looks all yellow with a black dot towards the tail. Will he develope this color over time. Right now he eats everything and I feed him Vitamins, flakes, brine shrimp, seaweed selects etc. He swims most of the day but still has this ugly black color which he didn't have 2 weeks ago. He is about 2 inches in lenght. My water looks good amm 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 10 ph 8.2. For people with this fish can you tell me if you had this problem with this fish or not??

Not at all , Foxfaces do what you describe , especially at nite or when stressed, he will come around, was there something added to stress him out?

ditto. He could be stressing. They do this when stressed or sleeping. Mine did that all the time for a while until he acclimated to the new environment. I would give him a little more time. Mine stayed shy for about 3 months.

Thanks for the responses!!!
I did change the decor a few days ago. Added some Cured live rock and I removed this dead coral that was starting to annoy me. So he is probably still stressed from this. It's wierd though because he doesn't seem stressed, always swimming and eating like a pig. He just always has this bicolor black and yellow look. I will give him more time and keep feeding him his vitamins and veggies. If anyone else has any input on this fish would b great. Thanks again!!

yea dont stress over it. I could look at mine wronge and he would change colors. He may just be pissed you moved things around. Moving things around and changing scene wil tick alot of fish off.
