fox face vs power head

My fox face, about 4 inches, got stuck to a power head today. I am not sure how long it was stuck there, but one eye is bulging out. The power head is now off and he swam away but does not look good. The cleaner shrimp is all over it. Do you think it has a chance? If it dies does it release any poison in the tank. It is currently behind about 300 pounds of rock in a 180 gallon reef.

How is your foxface doing? I had a puffer get stuck to my powerhead before and it caused some skin irritation but the fish recovered. A foxface cannot release toxins in to the water. Hope all went well.

place a prefilter sponge on your power head to ovoid this situation in the future for starters.next add melafix to your tank this will help in healing any possible cuts or ebrasions you may not notice and reduce some stress it will also help in reducing swelling in the eye in some cases(is used for pop eye).no gerentees on this but i may be helpful if ther is a slightest chance it will increase it at least.
