Foxface Colors

I have noticed that my Foxface just does not look as bright yellow as ones I see on TV. Of course he has his normal mottled brown camo for sleeping, but generally, he seems dull. He is eating well, cyclopeez and purple algae. Just wondering if I am over thinking this.

Hi,

When a foxface is stressed they go dim as well...make sure he isn't being picked on.

Yeah, my dwarf lemonpeel Angel is sort of a jerk....
There's your problem... Dwarf angels can be very aggressive to fish of the same color. A Lemonpeel is yellow and so is the foxface. You will have to rehome one of them.

Ugh! I'm beginning to dislike my LFS. They know every fish I have placed in my tank, because I have used them from the day I started.

Would it be possible to sort of quarantine my lemonpeel, or segregate him in my maintain tank for a short time to see if that helps?

Thanks Jay. I have tried moving rock around, but I think I'm at the limit of rock for my tank. I may send Mr Lemonpeel to the fish spa for a day or two at the LFS.

I feel your pain. I had to take out like 60# of rock last nt to move a wrasse. My purple pseudo was harassing the hell out of him. Thats one fish I will never get again. I must have freed up a bunch of pods tho bc the mandys where all over when I put the rock back lol
