Foxface Question!

I am wondering if My Foxface is exhibiting normal behavior.
He is in QT right now so he doesnt have much space to "Hide" there are two live rocks in the qt, but no caves or anything, he is to big for the cave.
When I "peek" into the room he is cruising around the tank, bright yellow and looking GREAT and eating as well.
Then when I WALK into the room he looks like he is going into cardiac arrest, he flies around and then lands in a corner of the tank breathing pretty rapid and turns brown/black/transparent.
Will this wear off? I am guessing in the DT where he has a place to hide he will do better.
Do all Foxface act like this whithin the first few weeks? I had heard they were very "friendly" fish?
Thanks!

Get a pc. of PVC pipe big enough for him to hide in. The less stress on him in the QT the better. Just a note they do change color when the are startled or stressed. Also the are very finicky at first until they become comfortable.

UH i had my foxface for almost 2 years and he was constantly like that,, to his detriement. Anything in the tank moved near him he would freak out, which eventually killed him. I added a fish that was a bottom dweller, that decided he wanted to be fed at the top of the tank, which scared the foxface and sent him off into his tank, which stung the toadfish and gave the foxface a 'heart attack' and he died, and the toadfish died the next day of the sting

mines been in my tank for 2 years. ive never seen a fish so high strung in my life. All you have to do is wave your hand near the tank and he goes ape s.

My fist foxface exhibited all of these signs as well and only lasted about a week in my tank. I think he eventually died from stress, but I replaced him and the new foxface is rarelly stressed is very active in my tank...he even comes and swims around me when I have my hands in the tank. Guess its just the luck of the draw?
