Foxface Rabbit Fish

I recently purchased a Fox Face Rabbit Fish. Well, actually about a month ago. But, today I noticed that it has 2 brown spots on its side. They have concentric rings in them, kinda look like targets. It also does not have all of its color, yellow is kinda pale and whitish. It eats very well and shows no signs of being sick other than the above mentioned. Any idea what this may be? Parasite?

foxface change their color at night and when they are stressed, i wouldnt medicate just yet

Well, its not really the loss of color that concerns me as much as the spots. I have noticed that alot of fish change or loose their color when stressed. But the spots, the look pretty weird. Thanks for the help guys/girls. I will put him in qt tank,and see what happens. If I can catch the little bugger.

Hmm?.. Interesting. But what still gets me is that mine only has these spots on one of its sides. The other side, is just yellow. Normal?

maybe its just how that particular fishis coloration is.

Are you serious? How can a water change cure a parasite? If that is what it is. No flames intended, just curious. I agree though, I cant understand why its only on one side. I know I need to do something. Terry, if you think a water change will help, I will. And if that don't work then I'll try the qt tank with antibiotics.

Now that you have mentioned it, yes, it does change from day to day. I thought I was imagining things at first. But it does seem to get bigger then smaller. Does this mean bacterial infection? Do you think the fish came with it? My water parameters are great. Ammonia 0, trites 0, trates 0, sg 1.024, temp steady 78 deg. At any rate, the fish is in qt now. Proceed with the water change? Thanks so much for the help!!

i have had the same fish for four years and 2 years ago it fought with my regal tang and put several brown marks on the foxface . it went away after about a week . if yours dont it may have a bacterial infection . hope this helps you .
