Foxface Rabbitfish?

Hi all! I want to learn more about foxfaces.
Are they a hearty species? Are they aggressive?
Are they finnicky eaters? How large do they get?
Are they community compatible?
I'd appreciate any experienced input.
P.S. This website rocks! I've been reading these
boards for weeks. This is my first thread.

Hi, welcome to the boards!
I have a 6" Doliatus Rabbitfish. Very peaceful, just likes to try to school with the yellow tang. Eats everything I throw at it, pellets, flake, seaweed selects, anything frozen. They say their not reef safe but I haven't had a problem with him yet.
Pretty cool looking fish too.
Here's an old picture of him. Since I've had him his colors have brighten up a lot. Must be from all the vitamins and supplements.

With actincs.
Again, old picture, more vibrant now but you can get the idea of the pattern and colors.

They are hardy if they have space to swim and a balanced diet heavy in marine algae.
Are they aggressive?

Not at all. They will protect themselves if attacked though and their spines are venomous similar to a Lionfish.
Are they finnicky eaters?

Nope. Once adjusted they will eat any type of fish food.
How large do they get?

Mine is 9" and still growing.
Are they community compatible?

Yep.
I'd appreciate any experienced input.

Here's a pic of "Foxy" eating a Silverside from my fingers:

I keep a foxface myself and agree with bangs comments. Mine has been a great addition...once adjusted they can be a great addition. Possibly a bit reclusive and shy at first...but mine adjusted within a few weeks. they are active algae eaters and that alone is a major plus...mine will also eat virtually any foods offered. Most info I've seen indicates size maxs out around 7"-8"....mine currently is about 4"-5"....for the most part peaeful but as mentioned they can adaquately defend themselves when needed.

Excellent fish, kept one for over a year myself in a 55 gallon (which I should not have done in so small a tank) He never harmed any other fish but was quick as a bullet when he really turned on the juice. He did knock over a few items now and again with his swiming back and forth.
Bang and NM pretty much covered the rest and I agree.

Thanks for your replies. Love the photos.
I'll be in the market for a foxface once the time
is right. Right now I have a LR, a cleaning crew,
and a maroon clown in my 45gal. Maybe I'll
post a photo.
