foxface with corals

I have a foxface in my tank and I tryed to put a cream crown leather in my tank. He niped at it so there is some holes in the coal. I am going to put it in my aquapod so it gets healthy again. There was some seaweed in there and some alge off the rock where he could of ate from. instead of eating the coral. There is also to other softies that he is not bothering.
only had the leather in there for less then one day.
Whats his deal?

I've been through this the book says reef compatible with caution..meaning it's got to be well fed to avoid eating corals etc..I learned the hard way i've been told that leathers are not a desirable food ..well. after receiving my foxface I put in seaweed and lettuce.I know overkill..well first it went for my mushrooms then my leather ,sea weed then lettuce..in that exact order..I really liked my foxface but gave him up ..can't afford 45$ corals etc..expensive food.
