Frag plugs

I have about 5 frags of zoo's I've gotten in the last month that are sitting on the sand. I am ready to glue the frag plugs to the LR. The plug has the shape of a bolt or "T", what is the best way to remove the base of the plug so I end up with a frag disk to glue?
Thanks,
Chris

If you can find a hole to place it in in your LR, it will actually be more stable than if you just glue it, but if you have to remove it you can break it off with a hammer and chisel, a big pair of pliers or sometimes even with a big pair of sidecutters.

This is the second time this week a dremmel would have come into play. Might be time to purchase one.
Its only a 14G BioCube so not much LR holes to choose from.
I'll try the hammer and chissle and hope to not break the plate.
Thanks guys,
Chris

I cut mine off with tin snip pliers. I don't have enough holes in my live rock to mount the plug with the "bolt" on it.
BTW, Walmart is a good place to look for a dremel.

Well I bought them at Harbor Freight so I don't think they were "professional" grade!
BTW, that is where I got my knock off Dremel tool for $7
