If you were going to set up a frag tank, which would you use?, a 12 gal nano cube delux, or a ten gal reg tank. With the Nano, everything is built in, and with a 10 gal, i would have to have filter, lights, and such
also, would you or can you find a skimmer small enough for a nano or ten gal.????
This would be mostly zoo's and mushrooms
Thanks

So small? Personally, I'd rather just stick the frags right back into my main display tank.
If I were to setup a frag tank, I'd build my own out of acrylic, at least 3'x3'x1.5' and just plumb it to and from my main tank. I'd also stick a 250 watt DE MH pendant or two on it.

i agree with viper.....
i wanna make a frag tank one of these days and im planing on getting like a 30 gallon tank to sit next to my 100 gallon and have similar lighting over it which i have on my display tank and i would have a power head pumping water in and one pumping water out back to the main tank.... if u have a whole seperate tank you would have to re acclimate all of the frags to a completely new system in which the water wont be exactly the same.... and a 10 gallon is pretty small for a frag tank it would be just good for smaller things like zoo's or shrooms....

I'm doing a frag tank right now about 15 gallon. I was gonna stick the plumming to my main tank but the stand door is too small to stick the tank in and plus not that much room under there. So I just put it seperately, basically I'm cycling my 15 gallon tank right now I don't think a skimmer is necessary but it would help. But you would need to run carbon all the time since there is no skimmer and do frequent water changes.
