fragging a toad stool mushroom

I have a large toadstool mushroom and it has about a 3" long sprout coming off the bottom. Should I and how do I go about removing it? Never attempted any fragging before.

Either with scissors or a razor blade, make a single cut a little ways up from the base. Superglue and rubber band the frag to a piece of rubble.
