fragging finger leather in tank

I have a beautiful finger leather that has grown too big. It unfortunately has attached itself to a base rock on the bottom of my 90 gal. reef.
Will it poison my fish if I cut it in the tank?

no it wont poison your fish if you cut it in the tank, just run some carbon to soak up the pollution that it'll leak into you tank. its not gonna be a crisis type situation. then about an hour after you cut it you can do a water change if you like (water changes never hurt)

You could syphon water out right after cutting with a small diameter hose and hold it there for a few minutes after. Makes a water change worth while and might give you peace of mind about poisens.
Mc :notsure:
