fragging question

i understand that the fragging of soft corals is a common occurance. my question is has anyone every heard of fragging a hard coral? i know all about their calcium exoskeletons, but i was just wondering if anyone has ever attempted this??

people frag hard coral ALL the time, ive never personally done it, but it almost looks like if you have a SPS coral you can pretty much just brake a branch off to frag it, and you can also frag LPS but im not sure how
