its all in the title....
i was thinking about getting a small colony of pulsing xenias and i was wondering if they can be fragged?

all you have to do is put small pieces of rock around them and they move onto the rocks. they move all over the place i started out with 1 little clump now i have 4 bunches and a fith i took to the lfs. they multiply fast

no mine didn't they just move onto the rock or it kind of leans over and the truck attackes to the rock and then it kind of seperates then you can move the rock. no cutting needed

if you look at the wed 6 pack post I just put up you will see exactly what you are looking for. I have a colony of xenia that I put a couple of rocks next to and they basically walked onto those. I have traded 3 rocks so far and I have a fourth one with 3 xenia on it already. This is the easiest way I have found to frag them.

here is a pic there are four rocks around the colony so they can move on to them. the top rock already has three

Xenia can be fragged... pretty simple coral to frag really. You can do it naturally as described above or you can cut them and attach them to other rocks... I even attached them to the back of the tank once so they could grow up the glass.
Do some searches... there's tons of info on fragging Xenias.

I have a quick question on this. When fraggin xenias by cutting, can it be done in the main tank or do the xenias have to be moved to another container before cutting?
