It was via PM. He's hoping to sell it threw here, but doesn't want to break rules in the meantime. As I said... premature yes. But I'm sure it's the "New Product" jitters.
I took the PM and went snooping some more and came up with the home site.... which he wouldn't be able to link us to here on SWF. Product pictures are there. Information is all there.

Renee it seems like you will be trying it. I am just curious , so when you get it can you tell me with the amount you receive how long you will be able to feed your fish with this product. It seems to me if your fish do not eat it that's a quick indicator but if they do eat it a much longer time line is needed IMO before you can attest to its superior benefits
FYI if you endorse it that would be good enough for me

I won't be feeding exclusively, however. There's not much more I need to give to my fish nutritionally that they don't already receive...... I just keep adding more things.

I received the frozen fish food today. Very nice looking. Comes with all the ingredients listed. Great stuff in it! Comes with a care sheet also. Very nice. Will try it soon. Thank you so much! :-D

Fed some of the food today.
Here is my honest little review:
Fish got excited over it but were then not interested in it. My anemone WAS VERY HAPPY
WITH IT! And all my inverts were very happy. I think the food would work better for larger fish. I have smaller fish like anthias and clownfish. It's packaged well but it is kinda messy in the tank. There are alot of pieces like legs and other throwaway bits that I didn't enjoy. Thank you again for letting me try it.
Final rating:
I would give it 3.5 stars out of 5

But I know ahead of time what's in Rod's Food. It has a list of incredients on the back or I can go to their site to see what's in it.
You don't know whats in rods food until you get it. If you get ours, we have a list as well. And I was offering it for free. :)

I am sure by now you have your five interested hobbyists. But you stated that you would also be sending those people “manufacturing details & nutritional information”. Can you post that information for all of us to see along with a picture of the packaging ?
I sent it to those who responded, not to those who jumped on me for not meeting their every expectation.

actually, I like spam... LOL, but I would NOT give it to my fish... lol . I find it interesting that the people who are complaining the most, did not respond at all. I am not a newbie here, most of you I have had conversations with previously. its almost like unless you have 34k posts, you are an idiot. I would rather have 200 intelligent posts that 20000 idiotic bitchy ones. (not that I am laying any blame), but so be it.

I'm not sure if I started the complaining. My comments were really not to complain whatsoever but trying to pry out some more info or offer suggestions. I run a side business and know that the initial approach is something I would never do. The other problem with written text is it is soo easily taken out of context.
It looks like a descent product but I feed my fish a certain way and if it doesn't coincide with my feeding habits my review is already biased or you wasted your beta sample on me. I'm all about new ideas and business and I do with you the best of luck!

Thats interesting. Out of over 500 people we have seeded, you are the first to say that it made a mess. Ill send you the survey link if you wouldn't mind. And thanks.

Hello All:
It will cost you nothing and the only thing I ask is that you provide honest feedback, good or bad, but there are a few stipulations.
1: You must be an experienced marine hobbyist, that is to say that you must have substantial posts here to be considered. It's not that I don't think newbies have anything to offer, but more that I need people who have been through the wringer a bit in this hobby and know what to consider.

These statements seem a tad contradictory to me.
So how did the beta testing go. Will you post results here?

The quote above is in response to my asking for you to post the nutritional value of your product. Dont you think only giving it to the five people who were the recipients of your product and not posting it for others to see is bad PR especially for a start up company

He probably didn't realize asking for 5 volunteers for free food was going to create such a stir.
Not publically disclosing full product details is standard practice when beta testing new products. You develop a product, a select few beta test it, you gather their opinions and make modifications if needed. THEN your product is final and you release "It" and info to the general population.
