Fresh or saltwater eels?

What kind of eel grows the biggest/longest?Fresh or salt?

green moray, saltwater eel, biggest i've ever seen in captivity, by far.

Second the notion, I have seen a captive green get 8 feet.
Here is mine it is already over 3 feet.

thickest - giant moray (1 ft thick)
longest - longtail moray (more than 12 ft long)
BTW, both are saltwater eels.

what size tank would i need for a green moray?Just wonderin

We had this discussion a couple of weeks ago and I believe the consensus was at least 125/180 range. GKP?
