Fresh water dip macro

I'm getting some macro from a LFS who keeps it with there fish. So can I fresh water dip the macro to kill off ick with out killing macro?

I asked this same question a few weeks ago. The answer I got was it would fall apart and not to do it. A regular old salt water rinse is best.

Thanks good to know. Still have a dilemma as to were to put this macro in reef with one yellow tail damsel and cross my fingers or in QT that is already in hypo.

I ran into luck, the shipment just arrived so it was still in the bag from ORA. So it never went into the LFS tank. I just rinsed it in tank water and added to the reef tank. I still didn't want to risk the fish so I didn't put directly into the sump. going to wait a week B4 adding it to the Fishes sump.
