Fresh water to salt water conversion question

I've had saltwater tanks in the past but I always started from faucet water added salt and never had any problems. I'm getting back into the whole thing but I was wondering....I have a 10 gal fresh water tank at my job. Recently I decide I want to make it saltwater. The fish aand gravel have been removed already. Can I just add salt and live sand or do I have to start from scratch?

I would clean the tank out and start fresh with the tank, that way nothing goes wrong. Get some live sand and some LR put it in the tank fill it and go from there. As for the water u good go to ur LFS and get 2 5 gal box's of real sea water that they sell, or just use faucet water.
P.S Good luck and keep us posted.
